Des Moines, IA 50309artist Mitchell Squire and Chef Carly Groben collaborate to create a public event titled "Appetite fulfilled," a one-night event featuring the transformation of a restaurant into a sensuously charged atmosphere of dreamy elegance where food and art take center stage. The normal array of tables and chairs were removed, and one luscious tableau of sweet foods were conceived, designed, prepared and artfully presented by Groben, atop a 12 ft custom designed and fabricated by Squire. The tableau and spatial atmosphere were intended to be the creative complement to the unfolding mythological drama depicted in three of Squire's most recent multi-channel video projects. For a fleeting 2-hours everything in the space will engage the theme of appetite, offering a surround experience of a diverse range of interpretations.
